Would you rather take kung fu lessons from someone who "made up" their own style, or someone with traditional training who really knew their stuff? Some modern tantra teachers say they're simply "modifying it for modern times". But you can't use that as an excuse, if you don't have traditional training to modify in the first place. Bruce Lee trained his whole life in a traditional form, then later in life, modified and improved on it, creating his own style based on the old style, but incorporating aspects of other time proven methods, like boxing. But he didn’t just “channel” it, read it, or make it up. People are often more discerning about Yoga traditional styles than tantra. They'll often take “tantra” lessons from anyone who takes out an ad saying they teach it. It's true that sometimes traditions need to be modified to evolve – but as with Bruce Lee, any real evolution comes from someone who has first mastered the tradition, and then improved upon it – in which case, it will still have its “roots” in the tradition. Bottom line - If you really want to experience the amazing results and benefits of tantra tantric sex, learn from experts who mastered it during years of strict discipline & training that they received from a long lineage of master instructors.
